Canada's Hardcore Championship Fighting (HCF) announced yesterday that Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will make his Canadian MMA debut on February 1. "Minotoro" will face BodogFight veteran Todd Gouwenberg in a co-main event match, with Chute Boxe's Evangelista Santos fighting in the other co-main event.

Yeah, that was Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Big Nog/Minotauro) that fought in UFC. This is Lil Nog that's fighting in Canada.

yea its hard to tell the difference since they are twins, and both have very similar name and nickname...

but damn i was hoping to see minotoro in the UFC, i seen no reason why he is not in the UFC, he has great stand up, a very good thai clinch, and would probably be the best BJJ in the UFC's light heavy division...i hope after he wins a couple of fights the UFC brings him in

It's times like this that I love Sherdog's Fight Finder, haha.

Todd Gouwenberg (Minotoro/Lil Nog's opponent):
6'1", 205
Fighting Out Of: Langley, BC, Canada
MMA Record: 7-2, Won his last 4 fights. 4 wins by KO/TKO, 3 by decision. 1 loss by KO, 1 by submission
Camp/Association: Revolution Fight Team (Only familiar/notable name there right now is Kalib Starnes)
Last fight: 8/25/07, BodogFight-beat Konstantin Gluhov by Unanimous Decision.

Seems to have decent KO power but is just as likely to go the distance. Hasn't fought anybody the vast majority of us have heard of yet.

I wonder why Minotoro didn’t want to be a part of the UFC’s LHW division. I think he’d make a huge impact, and I’d be really excited to see him join. It could even set up a future rematch between he and Sokoudjou.

Trust me when I tell you, T Gouwenburg is in tremendous shape as you will see. He is a friend of a friend and I know he is expecting to win.
He has been training very very hard and can hit hard. It should be a good fight to see.
From what Ihear, D Kang hasbeen seen training at revolution. Might be just a rumor but I know hes from here....
