Leben's playing it smart, a loss to Swick will put a permanent damage on his record and career. Good move. He can get some wins under his belt and see what he wants to do then think about Swick. No need for it now.

misfit is right. if leben loses again he might not be in the ufc after his contract runs out. he needs to face some easier guys before climbing back up the ladder to face a guy like swick.

Leben might be playing it smart... But when is he ever going to get the chance to headline a card (granted it's a FN) again for the UFC? He just killed his last chance with Dana, and that's not a good bridge to burn if you're a pro fighter.
He has basically rode out the TUFF fame as far as it will carry him, and ducking fighters, and pulling out of a main event looks worse than losing any amount of fights, IMO

I am just waiting to hear it confirmed becuse it is not like Leben to back out of any fight. I mean this is the guy who stepped up to the plate to take on Anderson Silva in his debut.
I would like to see these guys go at it but as Misfit said it may be better for his career to duck this fight and take on a couple easier fights. If this fight does not happen I would love to see Swick vs. Kampmann or Leben vs. Kampmann headlining the UFN.

The man!!! naaa no way the only good victory he has is against loaseau and maybe riggs but when he fought someone stronger look what happen he got worked.i do like himmthough as a welterweight he would be sick!
Swick is the man he would have knocked out Leban or went to the swick-a-teen
