Mike Pierce has never been shy about asking for a fight.

Following a win over Paul Bradley at the inaugural UFC on Fox show, he then called for a fight with former welterweight title contender Josh Koscheck, and he got it.

Then Pierce asked to face a Brazilian fighter because it would be “an easy fight”, so UFC matchmaker Joe Silva handed him Carlos Eduardo Rocha, who had gone to a split decision with Jake Ellenberger in his last fight.

Pierce beat Rocha soundly last weekend at UFC on FX 3, so with the chance to call out anybody he wanted after that fight the Oregon based fighter was a little more reserved.

Just a little bit.

Even though I picked Koscheck when they fought, IMO Pierce won the fight.
Give him someone higher up.

his shit talking about the Brazilians is kind of chael-ish. i dont think pierce will ever be top contender, more of a gate keeper, but ill watch him beat up some more brazillians anyday. i got nothing against Brazilians because i'll watch anybody get beat up.

Agreed, and I'll even argue that he won the Fitch fight as well.

Great, i hope he's happy to continuue his reign over most boring fighter ever. Even fitch shows us something when he gets out there, pierces last fight was pure unadulterated point fighting. Score the take down, be scared of jitsu, stand up and throw weak strikes. It wasnt even lnp, just absolute lameness.

Pierce is no punk

I firmly believe judges will not give a lesser known fighter a decision unless its unambiguously obvious that they won.

If he has a thing for fighting Brazilians for now, i'd like to see him go up against Erick Silva. Actually, I never really look forward to Pierce fighting and I could think of a lot of different match ups that i'd much rather see Silva in, but it would be fun to see Erick humble him.

I'd watch this. Silva needs another step up (Pierce) and Pierce wants to fight Brazilians (Erick Silva)
