Ok, With Franklin/Silva happening in Cincinnati at UFC 77, the question is who will be the enxt person in line to get a title shot? Do you know? No? Neither do I. So I am proposing a bracket in which 16 Middleweight Fighters are fighting to get the next title shot.
You vote on who you think who win the fight, not on populairity.

Matchups:

Jason McDonald
vs.
Ed Herman

Yushin Okami
vs.
Nate Marquardt

Patrick Cote
vs.
Evan Tanner

Nate Quarry (When Healthy)
vs.
Thales Leites

Martin Kampmann
vs.
Mike Swick

Drew McFedries
vs.
Terry Martin

Travis Lutter
vs.
Kendall Grove

Chris Leben
vs.
Kalib Starnes II

Henderson was considered but I do not know if he will drop weight.

There is your 16 contenders to fight for the shot at the belt.
Who wins and moves on? You and your knowledge will show that.

Thank you, I would LOVE to see a Terry Martin vs. Drew Mcfedries fight, I think that has a huge match-up that could be Fight of the Year type of match if it was to ever happen.

I will toss in my picks after we get some more.
I must say I do think Jason McDonald is still one of the most underrated fighters in that division.

I actually in my first bracket had Grove/McDonald as a fight, but I thought that Ed Herman vs. JMac would be a better first rounder because they are more similiar.

Also I really would love to see a Grove vs. Lutter match-up because both like to go to the ground and try to attempt submissions and it would be a great fight.

I still say that Drew McFedries vs. Terry Martin match would be incredible.

Thats it! Silva has already killed some of these guys with ease and looks like he can beat the reast with ease the only one that looks like he stands a chance is Franklin but He already has been KTFO once and its comming again on OCT 20, 2007

I don't care who Anderson has and has not defeated in the UFC Octagon, the problem is, who is next for the title after Franklin? If Franklin wins, then you would think Anderson would fight one of these fighters and then get an immediate rematch, but if Anderson wins, then it would have to be one of these fighters or Henderson if he drops to fight Silva.

Actually This is what I read from Matt Hughes Site
“If Rich [Franklin] looses then I would move up and fight Anderson [Silva]. I would never fight Rich.”

So Maybe we would see Hughes/Silva..

But that might not be the case so we are sticking with these 16 fighters.

Anderson might have beat Leben, Nate, Lutter and Rich but with the MW the way it is, I just wanted to see who in a bracket style type of way who would be next to get a shot at the title.
Plus I like fan Interaction so I thought it would be cool to do this since, my Open Weight Tourny got alot of love as well.

=p
Anderson might be the best in that division, but yet even the best has a day off, and Rich might beat Silva.

We will wait and see, and for some like myself we will see live.

I have not voted yet, but we have ties between Kampmann and Swick, Lutter and Grove.

Leben and Quarry are only down by two and the rest are practically advvanced to the other round.

VOTING ENDS TOMORROW.
