"Chael Sonnen had his chance, put on a great performance but lost. Got tapped out, got finished, and then after that he failed a steroids test. As far as I can see he had his chance and he blew it. I feel I deserve a shot. I have got to beat Miller, he is tough, I am not looking past him. [But] it's me, I’m the contender. Belfort has just been beat, Yushin Okami has just been beat, Sonnen got beat. What are they going to do, all they all going to keep beating each other up and then having another shot at him? No, I’m the contender."

Actually, give him a shot. I wanna see if he makes it through the first 2 minutes. He can't wrestle so he would be forced to stand with Anderson. And from there it would just be bad. We may actually see the UFC's first fatality

he has a valid point though. sure his chances to win are very slim, but ill bet he does better than Vitor, Okami, Griffin did.
personally im 100000000% for a Sonnen rematch (and to a lesser extent Hendo). Bisping needs a top 10 win and is only a few fights removed from losing to Wandy. give him Maia, Stann, Vitor, or Munoz/Leben winner and if passes that test, then give him the title shot.

to prophecy, i dont see Silva KOing Bisping the way Hendo did...thats about as close to death as ive ever seen in a fight
personally im 100000000% for a Sonnen rematch (and to a lesser extent Hendo). Bisping needs a top 10 win and is only a few fights removed from losing to Wandy. give him Maia, Stann, Vitor, or Munoz/Leben winner and if passes that test, then give him the title shot.

Yeah, Bisping acts like he's beaten top guys or something. The top ranked MW he has ever beaten was barely in the top 20. Leben was ranked #18 by Fight Matrix when he fought Bisping. He asks if the guys that have recently fought for the title are just going to beat each other up and get rematches? Well, since Bisping doesn't ever fight any of those top 10 guys, then yeah, that's probably what is going to happen. If he beats Mayhem, that will help, but Mayhem is currently ranked #45 by Fight Matrix. Now I think Mayhem is quite a bit better than that, but I don't know that Mayhem is top 20.
With it rumored that Tim Kennedy is now with the UFC, that would be a good fight for him. Kennedy is currently ranked #10, and will probably want to fight before Bisping would be ready following his 12/3 bout with Mayhem. If Mayhem beats Bisping, then Bisping can just go back to fighting guys outside the top 25 like he is used to.

The fact is though, Bisping still has a fight with Mayhem and Chael just won. So Chael is closer by those means.
I would give Bisping a shot before Sonnen, just b/c I don't like guys getting a rematch title shot after 1 fight.
But UFC wants Silva/Sonnen so bad, so they can sell the shit out of that

Well Bisping, if these guys have been beat so easily by Anderson, how about you beat one of them? I would feel fine with Bisping getting the shot if he beat Sonnen, Okami, Henderson, hell even Maia. Fact is, he hasn't beaten a ranked MW, and the one guy on that list he fought knocked him out harder than perhaps anyone has every been knocked out. Beating Jorge Rivera and potentially Jason Miller does not make you a #1 contender over Sonnen who, as much as I dislike him, beat a who's who in the MW division to earn his shot (Okami, Marquardt, and even Stann are better fighters in my opinion than the guys Bisping has beat at MW).
In my meaningless opinion, Bisping would get smashed by both Sonnen and Okami, and for him to make the assertion that he deserves a shot more than one of them says to me that Dana needs to make one of these fights happen at some point, especially if Bisping beats Miller. My guess is that Sonnen will get a shot around the same time as Bisping fights Miller, so maybe Bisping gets the loser of that fight? Or Okami?

Kennedy's already been calling him out for a long time. I think if Bisping loses to Mayhem that fight will happen.

LOL! Keep dreaming Spitsbing you're not even in the top 10 of the UFC at Middleweight. Like many have said he has never beaten anyone in the top 10 and has been coddled by Dana to sell tickets in the UK. I'm with Poor Franklin let him fight Chael so he can find out real fast why Chael is the #1 contender and not him!!! Chael would destroy him, as would anyone in the top ten of the division!!!
I'd like to see him fight someone tough like Brian Stann who would stand and bang with him, and IMO knock his teeth out!!!
