The fact that I like GSP has little to do with the fact that we are both Canadian. I like fighters that are good people and are not necessarily focused on beating other people up all the time.
GSP -sportsmanship and kindness
Cro Cop - interest in cleaning up politics
Randy Couture - seems like a genuine person
And it's not just fighters... I judge everyone by these types of criteria. I have more respect for my professors and colleagues that have good family lives and interests other than pursuing their careers, than the ones that are at the top, but have stepped on everyone on their way up.
This is why I will never like fighters like Diego, Tito, Shamrock, etc. No matter how successful they are in the ring/octagon, their attitudes lower them in my books.
So you may not like GSP because he's French Canadian (is it the Canadian, French or combination BTW?), but there are other reasons why a French Canadian fighter is liked so much outside of Canada

No shit. As soon As Arlovski and Rich lost they were overrated and would never get back on top.
I wish these morons would shut up. GSP is not overated.
Litterally Mauling: Miller, Trigg, Sherk, BJ , and Hughes all in a row justify that.
Not to mention he beat Karo's ass down....... in his debut.
Serra just had everything work perfectly for him that night. I thought it was simliar to GSP/ Hughes 2. Where everything went perfectly for GSP.

GSP vs. Hughes 2, bigmoney, I am a GSP fan, but disappointed in loss, still behind him though. Even in loss, he had alot of respect for Serra.
