Melvin Guillard (21-7-2 MMA, 3-3 UFC), the once-promising UFC lightweight who suffered embarrassing back-to-back defeats in the UFC, rebounded for a vital victory at Friday's Rage in the Cage 105 event.

Guillard posted a unanimous-decision victory over Eric Regan in the main event of the night's 10-fight event.

He beats a submission specialist!!!! WOOT!!!

That's definitely a good sign right there. Melvin has so much potential, he needs to calm down when he fights. And work on the submission defense. I know he'll be back and be a force especially since he's mostly working on his submissions!!!

I don't like Guillard too much. But congrats goes out to him. He beat a submission guy. He'll be back in the UFC after a few more victories and more work on his ground defense.

i hope he is not allowed back in the ufc. he is a horrible representative of the sport, and makes mma look bad everytime he opens his mouth. i hope he is relegated to the small shows. he thinks he is a gangster and not a fighter.

Melvin is such a liar. He stated that nobody other than regan wanted to btake the fight? Melvin turned down a fight with Efrain Escudero *sherdog the name* who called him out. Melvin is trying to pad his record so it'll look good when he goes back to the UFC...he will only accept easy bouts.
