here it is, Mayhems breakdown of the Maincard for UFC 81: Breaking Point.
not 100% sure who all is on the televised part so I am gonna guess
(with a swing bout)
Terry Martin vs Marvin Eastman
this fight is going to be similiar in the Martin/Leben fight I think, just not as long. Both fighters are going to be throwing leather and not really backing down...I think Eastman may push the pace a bit at first, but that will change after he takes a couple of shots...he will then get on the defensive, from that point Martin will start landing shots at will, dropping Eastman late in the first round.
Martin by KO in round 1
Jeremy Horn vs Nate Marquardt
This fight will be a good one, Jeremy has been in there with the best and has seen more fists come at him then Whitney Houston, and has impressive ground game...Nate on the other hand is pretty wellrounded and I think he will control this fight standing and on the ground (hard to submit)...he's not really a finisher (lately)..so I think as long as Nate can defend the sub attempts from Horn, he should pull out a pretty dominating UD
Nate MArquardt by UD
Ricardo Almeida vs Alan Belcher
both fighters have looked pretty good lately, Belcher has some pretty good hands and will try to use that and go for an early KO. Ricardo is not too much of a finisher but has won 7 of his last 8 fights, and over some big names...I think this momentum is gonna carry over, and Almeida will pull out another decision win.
Ricardo Almeida by UD
Tyson Griffin vs Gleison Tibua
Tibua is on a 4 fight win streak, but his biggest win so far in his career has been over Terry Etim, Griffin on the otehr hand has won his last 2 fights and has a nice list of names he has defeated (including Ludwig, Faber, Tavares)
I think Tyson will use his wrestling to control where this fight goes, but will also be comfortable standing with Tibua who has been KO'd a few times in the past...I think this fight ends in the third, with Griffin on top landing some big shots to a stunned opponent
Griffin by round 3 TKO
now for the two that have me on the fence.
Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir
if this was pre -accident, I would take Frank in a heart beat, but as we all know he hasnt been the same since then...his last fight agaisnt Hardonk..was impressive, and we all saw some sparks of the old Mir, but its still scary... Lesnar on the other hand is a big ?, he dominated a can in K-1, but we didnt see him take a shot, or anything....from what people are saying (Militech, Barney, Thompson) Lesnar has good ground game, a truck load of power and is impressive, still I dont wanna jump in with both feet....I thougt long and hard about this fight changing the outcome many times....amd finally went with one...I think Brock is gonna use his wrestling and power to take Mir down and smother him, Mir is gonna be firing off sub attempts, but I think when he goes for that he will leave an opening and Brock will land some hard punches stopping th fight midway through the first.
Lesnar by round 1 TKO
Tim Sylvia vs Big Nog
Nog is a beast, good boxing, great ground game, good chin, cardio is good, his weakest point I can see would be his takedowns, which takedown defense is one of big Tims strong spots....that should make this interesting.... Tim isnt the most popular fighter, and is underated because of that I think...he uses the cage very well in fights, and when he decides to move forward and attack (which doesnt happen too often) he is a force to be reckoned with...I think Nog will want to take this to the ground and submit big Tim, but will find out its not as easy as he had planned... Big tim will do some Cage smothering and land some good shots here and there, and pull out a close decision

IMO your breakdown is pretty good except for the Belcher/Almeida fight...
Almeida MIGHT win this fight because he did prove himself over THREE years ago... You said that he's look "pretty good lately" and is going to use his momentum from his previous fights to pull out a decision... I think it's hard to have any sort of momentum when you haven't fought in over three years... Unlike Almeida, Belcher has been consistently training/fighting...I believe he has a heck of a chance! This will be closer than a lot of people think...

thats a good point, and I should have picked better words the Lately and Momentum, haha....what I guess I was saying is that in his last few fights he has taken out some big names.....but ring rust is always a factor after a long break like that..(which I didnt realize was 3 years, I was thinking it was like a year and a half or so...).... so after seeing that I dont know.....I still think Almeida is gonna pull it off, but you have me scared of that pick..haha

Good break downs, they make sense, but I disagree with some picks. I'm taking Eastman, Horn and Mir in their fights. Good analysis though

well... the last picks kind of sucked....but I am gonna give this a go again for 82. (which I have even more uncertainty about)
Leben vs Sakara
- A good match-up, with excitement written all over it. This will be Sakaras first fight since dropping to MW, and Lebens first since KO'ing Martin. This is gonna be fast paced and should end with a KO....but who wins..thats where it gets tricky. If Leben was smart (which I sometimes question) he would take Sakara downa nd try to pound his head through the matt with GnP....but I dont think he will do that..Leben is going to try to stand, with a boxer and get picked apart. Eventually being dropped and have to be saved by the ref.
Sakara TKO in round 2
Okami vs Tanner
- Man, they didnt give Tanner any breathing room for his comeback...Okami is strong and typically dominating in his fights (also kind of boring at times)..Tanner is tough and has proven that already, but he never seemed to completely dedicate himself to MMA (which he has admitted himself)..he says he is 100% focused right now, but I think ringrust will play a part in this fight, especially agaisnt Okami, who has looked good inhis alst few fights.
Okami by UD
Fitch vs Wilson
- Wilson is a good prospect in MMA, he's young, part of a good Team( Team Quest) and already has beaten some pretty big names (Markham, Heiron). He's also well rounded winning almost 50/50 between subs and TKO's. Fitch is on a roll, and has fought in the "bg show" a few times already...and has beaten even bigger names. I think Fitch will be the stronger of the two...and pretty much wrestle and GnP Wilson from start to Finish. But give Wilson a fight or two in the UFC and he will be up there.
Fitch by UD ( or maybe a late sub)
Herring vs Kongo
- Yet another close one....Kongo has shown he has as much ability to sprawl, as Superman does to eat a kryptonite sandwich. Which is good for Herring. BUT Herring is one of those guys...who likes to stand and throw..and if thats his gameplan..I think he is going to lose. Kongo is one of the better Strikers at HW..and this is just going to depend on where the fight goes. I have changed twice now...but as of this second.
Kongo by UD
Silva vs Henderson
- Holy crap...never bee n this undecided for a fight before...Henderson has an awesome chin, awesome wrestling...is ahrd to submit...and has improving standup......Silva has amazing striking, a good chin, hard to keep down, and an impressive guard ..... Henderson likes to stand and bang (watch Wanderlei or Rampage fights) ... but I think after he see's Silvas power and precision, he is gonna change his mind and turn it into a grappling fight....I have a feeling this will start late in the 2nd...but in the Third he is gonna Clench with Silva a few more times to go for takedowns (succeeding a couple times, but not being able to keep Silva down long)..and eventually in a clench he will eat a few hard knees to the body, and take a few more shots to the face after that, dropping, and losing by a TKO.
Silva by round 3 TKO (late in the round)
swing bouts
Arlovksi vs O Brian
- Jake is an awesome wrestler, with a big win streak....and a reputation for boring fights....Arlovski..has picked up that reputationa s well altely..I think Andrei is going to be motivated coming in this, and have something to prove...if he lets his fists go, and becomes "The Pitbuill". He should win this early, if not..who knows what will happen...but I am thinking he is gonna be aggressive agian.
Arlovski rnd 1 KO
Koscheck vs Hazelett
- I like Dustin, but I have a feeling he may be a little over his head in this fight...Koscheck might not be the most exciting fighter..but theres no denying he keeps improving(stand-up), and has very good wrestling.. I think he will keep it standing at first, and winning a boxing match, and will also take Dustin downa few times throughout the fight, and landing some GnP pretty effectivley.

Leben- Rd 2 KO...He looked in shape on focused in the Martin fight and I think he'll catch Sakara with a cat smashing bomb to end it..
