After his UFC 79 loss to Georges St. Pierre, former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes said he's going back to the drawing board to think about his future. Dana White doesn't want him going anywhere else.

I sure would like to see Matt stick arround and fight some of the newer guys just to show them how tough it is in the UFC.

I'm not a Matt Hughes fan but I got into MMA watching him and Carlos Newton. I gained more respect for Matt Hughes during the pre/post fight interviews. He had a different approach but I think he needed to be more hungry, angry, and determined if he was going to be GSP. He seemed to confident which might be his downfall when he faces Serra.
2 more fights please.
1 between now and when he faces Serra (after Serra loses to GSP).

I think if Matt was training the way GSP was, then he could pull out a win. I definitely want to see him beat Serra, but I also want to see GSP/Hughes 4. I have faith in ole' Mattie!!

Matt needs to retire after that crappy showing at UFC 79. To think he can compete for the belt is a joke.
Matt better start working on the farm, because its the only thing you can be good at. MMA aint for you anymore.
