With UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva’s first-round TKO of Nate Marquardt this past weekend, and with Silva’s rematch with Rich Franklin booked for Cincinnati’s UFC 77 event in October, the UFC’s middleweight division will soon need some worthy contenders.
