Now the whole DQ thing with Nate is one matter, but I'm wondering if he didn't take more shots than we saw during that fight. Because right after he starts running his mouth about taking on Anderson again. I mean dude you LOST, you ain't getting NO SHOT, and second now you think you got Anderson? Serious case of punch drunk...?

I think he knows that he won the fight despite the bad point for hitting the back of the head. I think UFC management will see it his way as well, it's not going to be as if he really lost the fight.
It was as pathetic as Thiago "diuretics" Alves (Wolfman's nick name for him I believe) begging for a title shot after that fight. Seriously, you didn't make weight, that fight wasn't technically in the welterweight division so it shouldn't count towards a title shot.

I think he's pobably looking at it like this, He dominated the guy for 2 rounds, and only lost because a point deduction(I don't think it should have been taken away), and the whole Spike thing, the ref didn't do any thing 'bout it, I see no DQ

BUT:

He should not be saying anything about a Silva rematch now, he should consitate on learning the rules of the UFC(Just kidding), but he should just look for his next fight

A Loss is a Loss, its unfortunate but still a loss, the elbow was a bad call but he knows he cant knee a downed opponent.

Stupid Ref?!? He kneed a downed oponent to the head. The fight should have been stopped right there. You can't justifiable judge the fight after that shot. Leites should have got the win then. \

Marquardt may have lost that one but in my book he is 1-0 on beating himself. The ref did his job and honestly could have penalized him a third point for another elbow.

let's not forget he almost got knocked out by Leites in the first. Let's see what he can do against Kammpan before he even thinks about Silva.

I think that if he does get a rematch with Silva the fight would end up about the same way the last time anyways. It was not really even a competitve fight. Anderson is clearly on a different level than Nate, and in my opinion would beat him the same way a second time.

The fight should have been stopped after the illegal knee imo.

After that it was a totally different fight......

He may have jumped the gun by calling Silva out. I agree that although he dominated a good portion of the fight, a loss is a loss any way you slice it. You need to rack up some more wins first bud!

Does anyone remember the Silva / Marquardt fight? It was a masacre... Nate looked completely out of his league... If anything Marquardt should fight Franklin or Hendo or Okami or even Bisbing or Maia... But I for one don't need to see him get hillbilly stomped by Anderson again, quite yet

I think he should fight Franklin next. That would be a very interesting fight.
