"It's just going to take some time to heal," Coleman said of his knee. "The good news is no surgery. I'm rehabbing it hard. ... I plan on coming back stronger because of this. I'm building the muscles that are going to take care of my knee even better."

Originally scheduled to face former WWE superstar and decorated amateur wrestling Brock Lesnar in August, Coleman was forced to withdraw from the bout while recovering from the injury. The 43-year-old now hopes to return to action by October at the latest.

i will be curious to see who he fights, given that every heavyweight is fighting right now till aug

i don't see anyone at all he would fight unless it is a newbie like i said the division is very weak, they need to sign some guys already

wouldnt be surprised if they want to build a new comer off colemans name, Probably someone like shane Carwin or Cain, who would probably beat him and get some recognition off his name, that way they will have more faces amongst the HWs, which they desperately need right now.

i don't feel that coleman deserves to be in the ufc at this point in his career. i realized they signed him to a contract to fight lesnar, but since coleman got hurt and will not fight lesnar, i think they should just drop coleman.

a match between Carwin and coleman would be good

or maybe they should arrange a submission match against a Gracie during a UFC PPV

He is a hall of famer and a pioneer of the sport. I can't see the harm in letting him get in there at least once with some youngin's. If it's obvious that he doesn't belong in the cage anymore, then let him go.

A lack of respect for the legends of this sport signifies a lack of respect for the sport of mma as a whole. The UFC is not gonna let that happen... even if some ignorant posters sometimes do.

I think Shane Carwin is the one he'll fight.

A nice KO by Carwin will probably put him well on the way to a title shot with maybe one more fight.
