Machida talks strategy for Soko

Lyoto : I am a strategist. I will compensate his strength with my technique. I am prepared for everything, if he wants to take it to the ground, I am prepared. It will be 3 rounds, the first 2 minutes will be the hardest, so I will have to hold back a little, because he cannot keep the explosion for the whole 3 rounds.

I agree. If he can keep on the outside and pick his shots the 1st round. he has it won because I'm pretty sure Soko does not have the best gas tank.

If Soko don't take him out in the 1st 2-3 minutes then it's safe to say a Machida decision is on the way. I just hope he surprises me with a finish even if it is by submission. Because I don't believe he's a title contender yet until he starts finishing his fights and faces top competition in the UFC. BJ and Rich, and Bonnar were a long time ago. Soko will be his biggest test to date and that's not even that big of a test since Soko still needs to be tested. Hopefully he fights Thiago next so we can see if he's the real deal...

I disagree with Soko only being able to last a few minutes. In his last two fights we haven;t really had a chance to see his gas tank because of how quick they both were but he trains with team quest. So i have a feeling he will be able to go the whole three rounds and be prepared for any situation if he has to. I dont think it will take him 3 rounds but if it does he can pull it out.

I agree he trains with team quest, he's got a ton more then he's shown.

Training with Hendo ain't gonna make your stamina bad.
But I'm thinking we will get to see some more of Soko. If he doesn't KO him in the first 2 minutes we might get to see his amazing judo and when he gets on top of you i don't see you getten him off very easy. If he rains down those bombs of fists we may see this one go due to GnP.
I really hope machida trys a take down and when he does he'll say to him self "Uh Oh" because in the Arona fight Soko had great take down D.And thats what led to the knock out. Machida will get frustrated and exchange and then go to sleep in the second round IMO in that order.

It's nice Machida is broadcasting the fact he is going to try and make this a boring fight. What a joke, I hope Soko wins via 30 second decapitation.

After seeing many of Machida's fights, I have a lot of confidence in this guy. He is ultra smart and his reflexes are amazing. I don't have a problem betting on this guy.

I love watching Machida fight. I can't understand why people think he's boring. He is very skilled and his reflexes are second to NONE.
He gets in the cage and wins with class and intelligence. Boring?
