Luke Cummo to fight at UFC 82

“The Ultimate Fighter 2” runner-up and now-surging UFC welterweight Luke Cummo (6-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) says he’s been told by UFC executives that he will fight at UFC 82 but that his opponent has not yet been named.

I'm a big fan of Luke and I can't wait to see him fight.

However Luke seems to be one of those guys who fights in UFC because of his TUF status. Maybe it would be good for him to go to WEC, stack some wins, and then make a come back. Unless they throw cans at him, he won't get very far in UFC WW division.

Yeah I'm a fan of his as well.He scored the first knockout victory on TUF.That's when I realy became a fan of his.Everyone poked fun at him and he turned out to be a real threat.

I didnt like the guy at first, but after his last performance in the octagon i was very impressed!!!!!!

He shouldnt drop or go to WEC, he's fine where hes at. I think he can hang

He's a fun dude to watch. And he's a finisher (when he wins). Should be exciting. Though I get the feeling he may not want to be a contender. He just seems to take fights to make a quick buck. Whatever though, I always dig watching him fight. The Crocatoa fight was pretty funny too. I remember Luke landing a right and Rogan saying something like "and Crocatoa counters with a left and a scary face". Funny shit. I was pretty glad Luke made him see stars.

BUT he is ready and waiting for a WW to get injured for UFC 79 as he wanted to fight on that event again with Serra (they both had a good ufc 69!) .............. looks like that wont happen tho

Cant wait to see Cummo again, he is a solid WW and id like this to be a decent test for him, dunno who tho .......................................... maybe ........... oh Tamden McCrory - that would be a great fight The Battle of the Nerds
