Why no love for Suloev in Bodog?

He was on the undercard at the last Bodog event, yet he still managed to pull off a super quick KO, again... I can't begin to understand why they didnt have him as a main draw, the guy is easily one of the greatest strikers in his division, plus hes a member of Red Devil and the event was in Russia... I'm not sure if hes still signed with Pride or not, but either way shame on Bodog for not taking advantage of him.

I didn't even know Suloev was fighting on this card until about two weeks ago. He should have been advertised more, especially since he is with Red Devil.

Yes we do. To answer your question I have no idea. After Fedor, Suloev is the 2nd most accomplished fighter on the card. He has definitely had more big fights in his career than Alek's. He always is the fighting out his weigh class IMO. With Pride adding a 170 division I think he will be a definite contender. He really needs to work on his sub defense though. He's mostly a striker Sambo background aside. In that way he's a lot like Alek's, prefers to stand. Still other than Baroni he's never been really beat on the feet. Chuck and him fought before Chuck really progressed and Suloev did ok. Swick should have watched his fight with Okami before he fought him.

He tooled Baroni untill he got pinned against the cage, and he went toe-to-toe with Chuck the whole time with no remorse or consequence... I agree hes gotta learn to be more agressive on the ground but holy shit man the guy is pretty much on the same level as CroCop when it comes to striking in MMA...

To be fair, I doubt many have the faintest idea who he is. There's been no talk for Eddie Alvarez here either, or anything other than the Lindland/Fedor fight for that matter.

I think most of us know who he is, I just don't know how to answer your question... Why wouldn't you show a 30 second KO? Like previously stated, he's the second most accomplished fighter on the card... So I guess I don't know
On a side note: Alvarez should cut to155, IMO, fromwhat I understand, Nick was just too big for him, he's a pretty big ww anyhow... Still haven't seen the fight though
It's nice to see another championship come to Minnesota though
Seems like Menne is doing something right with his training... First Huerta puts on a show at 69 and The Goat's "upset", so to say, at bodog

I wouldn't go so far as to say he is on cro-cops level as a striker , but he is top notch IMO. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Anderson throw, but I still think he should drop to 170. Like the new AV by the way

I think a fight against Silva would be fantastic, theyre both phenominal strikers... and even though Amar may be smaller, he shouldnt have much of a problem dealing with Andersons slight weight advantage.

One of the best at 185 lbs could be great at 170 lbs his takedown defence is really good as well as his strikeing
He owned Baroni on the feet had him Ko , but the ref rescued Baroni , after the break Baroni got a takedown Suloev fell into the cage at a wierd angle and his head and shoulders got stuck in the cage , then Baroni pummeled him on the ground .
Against Chuck Imo he held his own fight was pretty even Chuck had a huge reach advantage
Against Kang suloev was dominated on the feet , he had major problems with Kangs punching power .

There really is no love for Bodog in general among the MMA community. I think it's the whole online casino/sleezy aspect that tends to sully it's image.
It's funny how their marketing gimmick backfired on them. Just goes to show that when it comes down to it we like good promotions. The arena atmosphere and ambience is dark and depressing, they over do it with the whole sex thing.
But Bodog does have some quality fighters, and Amar Soluev is one of them. He's been around the scene for a real long time now and has put in his time. His fight with Baroni was exciting and explosive. There were a few nice transitions and Soluev had a nice low ankle hip-toss on him. His problems are that he fights out of his weight class and is rather short for 185. Unlike Filho who is similar in height he isnt a ground tech, so he can't really neutralize the reach advantage. His ground game isn't that great either and he was easily overpowered by Denis Kang (beat him with a one armed RNC while he used his other arm to hold his left hand).
Him and Eddie Alvarez are some of Bodog's top fighters. I really think Nick Thompson lucked out on Eddie.
