4th. and probably the best is amc mma, by matt hume, problem is 45min. away and about 135 month, i have a family so time is precious. by far the best trainer, but cost and time are important.
My question, i will definitly join amc eventually but could i get the basics somewhere first and really find out my will and drive which i am sure is there. but i havent been hit yet. so keep that in mind. and then join someone who can bring me along better. also i am not in a good fighting condition yet, i would say i am 6 mo. out. so obviously i have alot of questions. any input would be greatly appreciated
Joining any of them considering you are a beginner would be beneficial. However, I would limit it down to either Alonso's affiliate or Hume's. In my opinion considering your situation, I would prefer Alonso's. With 3 days a week it will get you introduced with some good basic's and provide you with a good workout without it completely overwhelming you. It is also the closest so it would not seem to be as a big commitment at least travel wise.
Then when you feel like you have grasped a good understanding or in good enough shape, then "transfer" to AMC, especially if that appears to be a possibility later on. But who knows, you might really like Alonso's and want to stay there, it happens to a lot of people who train.
Any choice would be beneficial for you however, but if it comes down to travel and cost or goals... then I would try Alonso's gym.
If you would, could you list out some of the goals you would like to achieve whether it be to become BJJ player, possible jump to MMA in the future, or just to stay in shape. I think with more information more people could probably give you some good advice.
Good luck!
