What is it with you and the scandinavian countries? Relatives here? It's not that I don't agree with you it's just that it's not every day you find an american so interested in scandinavian culture. Or an american who's been here at all for that matter.

First and foremost, I'm an Asatruar so the land holds significance for me in a religious sense. Also, most of my relatives are from Scandinavia, Ireland, and Scotland, so I've wanted to check out those places.
I was planning on hitting up a new country every summer for vacation, but I went to Sweden first and loved it so much I just kept going back. I take the Viking Line cruise to Helsinki or Åbo when I go, or maybe take the train to another city if they're having a festival, like that one they have in Östersund every summer, but mostly just kick around Stockholm, as I know my way around the city. Still haven't hit Norway or anywhere in the British Isles except for England itself. Once my house is built I should be able to save some cash to head back again.

Cool and impressive. Not a lot of people care about their heritage nowadays. Norway is like Sweden but way more expensive and with less fine chicks.

HA! Sweden ruins me on hot chicks every year, because when I get home, no girls look good anymore. Hell, some of them would even talk with me before the whole Iraq thing. Last time I went it seemed most folks there weren't too cool on Americans anymore.

Most swedish girls love english speaking foreigners and people with accents though. I faked a british accent about 2 months ago and brought home a girl that would otherwise definately be out of my league and my friend impressed the hell out of me last saturday when he brought a hot chick home faking a RUSSIAN accent.
I don't know what that was all about... maybe he became the ultimate bad boy with that accent.
