Recently signed Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (13-3) will meet veteran fighter Vernon White (26-32-2) at the July 19 "Affliction: Banned" event.

White's management team at KO Dynasty today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that the bout has been finalized.

Nogueira, the twin brother of UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and a longtime PRIDE fighter, was introduced as Affliction's latest signing during a Tuesday press conference in New York City.

Affliction 2 is gonna suck

That depends on how far off Affliction 2 is. If they allow a lot of these guys to rest up, you could be seeing a lot of the same names again with different opponents.

Agreed... Give it 3 months or so and we could see the winner of Rizzo / Barnett agaisnt the winner of Fedor / Tim... Similarly, Aleks / Buentello and Rothwell / TBA... Personally would love to see a Rothwell / Aleks E... Or Babalu / Lil Nog... maybe bring in Tito to shake up the LHW's... There are som pretty solid options, IMO, no reason to hate quite yet

It was already stated somewhere that the plans for thge 2nd show would pit the winners against each other So you'd have alot of the same fighters in the next show against thier counterpart who just won

Have to agree with gartface here. Should have signed witht he UFC that's where the real talent is. As for this fight card. I'm definetally going to be watching it on PPV. But, my one beef with this card is that some of these big name guys are fighting nobodies.

At least Nog is fighting someone with experience, I mean honestly.. Vernon White is about as experienced as it gets! lol although his skills have diminished severly.

I wonder why Lil' Nog was not signed in the UFC. At least he gets some recognition again with this fight.

Vernon White doesn't have the greatest record in the world, but man you just never know.He had a great technical ground battle with Sakuraba, and gave Liddell one hell of a go in their fight.Even though he lost both,if he could show some of the skills he possesed in those 2 fights,it might shape up to be a good fight.

I still say lil' Nog will take it,but I think White has shown in the past he has the skills to put on a great fight.

White is one of my favorite underdog fighters, and hes put on some amazing fights before. His battle with Sam Hoger in IFL was probably the best fight in IFL history. He should have left the Lions Den years and years ago and he might be a better fighter today, but hes too long in the tooth at this point to make a transition. Hopefully he has a good showing in this and gets some other decent fights.

sure tiger white has been around for forever but to think he could beat a fighter as primed as nog is kinda silly to me. this fight has no draw for ppl that want to see a "good" fight.

Its a smart business move, just to have little nog on the card will boost the sales financially if marketed correctly.
