International Fight League light heavyweight champion Vladimir Matyushenko will likely meet Pride Fighting Championships veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at Affliction "Day of Reckoning" on Oct. 11 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Sources close to the promotion confirmed the fight has been offered to both parties, though Matyushenko’s management declined to comment on the proposed matchup.

Wow. Would have been sweet if Vlad came back to the UFC but a fight with Lil Nog is very good.

Great matchup. Vlad has re invented himself and looks as good as he ever has. Should be a good test. Affliction with another good match. This card is shaping up to be great.

Yeah I'm definately taking Vladdy in this Fight, Good Submission Defense and Constant Takedowns are his keys to Victory.

I have Vlady as well, dissapointed he won't be back in the UFC, 'cause I think he could be a serious contender, anyway I think he'll do well in the fight and win a hard fought UD, just like the fight time they fought.
