You sound like a guy I used to work with. He was 5'6", 140 lbs. and constantly said he benched 395 in HS. he is no unemployed and living with his parents last I heard....

I am pretty sure that kid who was doing it one handed had a few spotters on the side.
PS i have had a bench break on me before. Just likely i had a goood spotter and low weight.
