it will happens anyway, if Liddell wins it will be an automatic boost and "forget of the two loses" situation, once again Dana taking care of his baby...

this fight b/w wanderlei and liddell would be great for the sport. a few years ago this was the dream match-up that mma fans would kill to see. now we have the chance to see it once again. whomever wins this bout will rejuvenate his career, while the loser would have to seriously consider his place in mma. i am real excited about this match-up and i really hope it happens because both men will be giving it all they have, for this may be make or break for these fighters regarding their career in the short run

I want to see this fight but i'm a patient man. I'd rather they both have some tune up fights just to get that confidence back. Jardine was probably supposed to be a tune up fight for Chuck but it didn't work out that way.

It could work the other way though. They could both keep losing and then what would be the point of them fighting each other besides a paycheck.

so they're gonna go thru with this fight to save chucks career? Lets not get it twisted, both fighers are comming off 2 losses, a 3rd loss is taboo in this sport. When dana goes thru with this fight, he's giving all true mma fans a fight they've been dying to see for ages. Basically he's getting two legendary fighters who are on their way to becomming 'has beens' equal opprotunity to get their careers back on track. The winner is back in title contention and the loser has a long road ahead of them. Those consequences are enough to get both silva and liddel to train harder than they've ever trained. The result of this matchup is gonna be huge promotion, huge sales, and one hell of a fight. We're talking about the axe murderer here, dana aint takin care of no one.

Excactly what I was thinking. This is what you would call a win - win situation for everyone except the loser.
