Liddell vs. Jardine instead of Silva @ UFC 76

thejuice- looks like your wasting your time (you made good points though). If someone thinks you don't need to watch mma to be knowledgable in it...well at least talking about fighters (it's not like forum posters train with the fighters), they're a lost cause. Why do fighters watch their opponent's fights? To learn from them...

Not protecting chuck? Why not have Machida and Jardine, and then have big bad chuck against the best Pride had to offer. If you say this guys better then Rampage and chucks gunna show that the rampage fight was a fluke by beating a better fighter in shogun, the average fan will watch. Now that i've said how it should go, guess why it won't happen...if Chuck loses again it showes that his UFC monster would have been out of the top 5 in Pride. It's not UFC vs. Pride anymore. You talk about getting real, how about learning to research a topic you post about. Wanderlei was offered two choices, fight Chuck in September, or fight Chuck in November, he chose November because he's in the process of moving to the U.S. and hasn't been training full time. Instead of Dana saying okay cool, he says forget it (after offering Silva the f***in date) and proceeds to slander Silva and have his "burial" on ufc.com

Jardine would sell more then Silva would?? Is this the same Jardine who just got destroyed in one round, couldn't establish himself as superior to Stephan Bonnar, and his career highlight is knocking out Forrest Griffin?? I'm sorry, but the Silva fight would sell 10x more then Jardine ever would. They've been trying to make that fight for years and even had Silva in the octagon twice in the past, once for Couture, then for Chuck.

As for PRIDE guys getting KTFO in UFC (Cro Cop) I find that funny, because not only is Cro Cop going to end up destroying every UFC heavyweight there is, but what about Fedor?? How did Anderson Silva and Rampage, two guys who could never get a belt in PRIDE, manage in the UFC?? Herring?? You mean the guy UFC built up as a huge signing even though he hadn't fought in PRIDE in years and never did anything there, other then getting destroyed by Fedor and Cro Cop and beat by Nog twice.

Get your facts straight, learn what you're talking about, and then tell people to get real. The bottom line is Dana was looking for an excuse out of this fight, he would've never offered Silva November if it was such a problem, he did, Silva chose November, and all of a sudden the fight's off because Silva "backed out" and the UFC poster boy is fighting a can that just got destroyed by Houston Alexander. Wow, real impressive.

I do beleive that they are protecting Chuck a bit in this fight I mean come on Jardine? this is one of the easier fighs hes gotten in a while.

Wandy is no coward he agreed to fight Chuck just not @ 76 he said in November/December so it gives him adequate time to train because he is moving to america and didn't feel that 2 months is enough time to get ready to fight

I think Dana is just setting up an easy fight for Chuck so he can get his head back on straight. Then he will put Chuck in against Silva or Henderson or Jackson again. Franklin and Hughes both had relatively easy fights after they lost their titles.

But this fight is definitely not a huge draw other then Chuck!!

Hmm, this whole thread and not one mention of the real reason Chuck don't want Wandy... TV!! if Chuck the duck loses another fight how will he ever get back on Entourage (I'm seriously impressed that none of the other actors didn't get there eye poked out with Chuck's Haymaker Thumb), I think Dana is making business decisions ala Vince McMahon. Oh, about the whole Pride vs UFC it's kind of like I mean seriously, the argument begins and ends with Fedor, Pride had more of those type fighters, not to mention the grand prix's, but it's neither here nor there now that we all must watch UFC with there hugely exciting fight cards.

This was a thread about Liddell fighting Jardine instead of Wandy. It has turned into the typical "I'm smarter then you" and "Pride is better" thread. Why??? Why does every single thread have to turn into a bunch of high school bantering?
