Respect is a two way street.

I feel there were three streets leading in and only one leading out.

As long as Lesnar backs up his crude trash talking with vicious TKOs of hall of famers and former champs alike i'll be routing for him!

Yeah, the display of GnP Lesnar put on Mir was awesome. I personally don't think that his actions or attitude are good for MMA...but I can't help but like him because of his fights.
I cheer for him every time he fights someone who isn't Randy Couture.
Keep winning Lesnar.

Not sure how you could lose respect for Brock... you knew it was coming. I was cheering for Mir but I love Brock as well. I think his trash talk is entertaining and in this case well deserved. Mir talked more trash then him by far before the fight as well.

All his actions did last night was give people and excuse for there hate of Brock Lesnar. He came from wrestling and people will never get over it. No matter what he does people will never like him. Mir, who has been one of the cockiest guys since his comeback, is suddenly this great, humble and repectful guy that the sport needs. Give me a break. He still talks about how great it was to break Tims arm.

He goes into his fights pushes the action and put up good performances against tough competition and when the guys he fights show him respect(Randy) he shows them respect. What more do you want.

Lesnar made me embarrassed to be an MMA fan last night.

The point about him selling tickets because of the emotion he is able to rile up in the fans is legit, but that's all it will do.

The UFC already sells plenty of tickets, but Dana White has stated plenty of times he wants to be the biggest sport in the world. Well, then that means you will need to get some coverage on ESPN and things like that.

Lesnar's actions after the fight is the stuff that make people think MMA is just two meatheads pounding on each other. The UFC needs to have bigger goals than just selling tickets and PPVs.

If Kobe or LeBron would have said ANY of what Lesnar did in a postgame conference, there would be major fines and disciplinary action. LeBron got fined just for not shaking hands with the Orlando Magic.

If UFC wants to be seen as professional fighting, they need to add the professional part of the equation.

Plenty of guys have decided not to touch gloves at the strart of the fights. Because Lesnar choice to turn around and walk back to his corner instead of walking straight back is now a major thing.

When Dana, who wants to take the UFC mainstream, gets on tv or his video blog and gives us a profanity laced tirade,

“I just heard there was an absolutely f—ing retarded story written by Loretta Hunt. Loretta, you f—ing moron. …

“Just to show how f—ing dumb you are, number one. … you don’t even know what the f— you’re talking about. … shut the f— up. …

“Whoever gave you that quote is a *****, and a f—ing faggot and a liar. …

“Maybe you’re the liar Loretta, writing bullsh– f—ing stories. Everything that comes out of your mouth is f—ing stupid. …

“You f—ing dumb bitch, f— you Loretta Hunt.”

Did that make anyone embarrassed to be a mma fan last night.

When a fighter tells Joe Rogan in the ring that he has been looking forward to breaking someones arm, does that make anyone embarrassed to be a mma fan.

I must be the only one who thinks Lesnar would maul Fedor with superior grappling and punching power.

You have a lot to learn my boy, go watch Fedor's fights....He has freak strength.

i love Brock, was routing for Mir the whole time, Brock's actions leading up to the fight, and during/after the fight were disgusting, i have lost so much respect for that guy to the point where i cant stand what happened/him......

I hardly post here but I have been a huge MMA fan for a long time. Brock does not have an ounce of my respect. A 2-1 record title shot are you f'ing kidding me? Sure the guy hits hard and now knows what he must avoid submission wise but giving him a title shot after 2 wins is outrageous.

Both fighters talked trash before the fight, just like in almost every fight. Lesner's victory was dominating over Frank to the point where Mir looked hurt pretty badly after the fight. This is not the god damn WWE Brock you go an make sure the person is alright for having the balls to step into the ring with you or you keep for fat mouth shut. You don't not touch gloves then talk more trash after beating Mir, flick of the crowd, make rude comments about ufc's sponsors, and yell at the camera until spit goes flying everywhere. Seriously wtf is this guys problem? I think it is Brock who has the horseshoe up his ass. I don't care how freak of an fighter Lesner is his actions are disgusting.

I personally will not be ordering fights Lesner defends his title in. I can wait for the results else where.

Many fighters talk trash before their fights, but manage to show respect for their opponents and MMA afterwards ie. Shamrock v. Ortiz. That WWE behavior does not belong in MMA

would you pay money to see this guys butt kicked? if yes, thats what he wants. you need to fill sits in the ufc to make money. people love you or people wanna see you get killed. he is the bad boy of the ufc. and he will be paid nice for it

people need to stop whining that he got his title shot early
he got the shot, got the belt, and now has defended it which clearly says he deserves to wear it
i also think its hilarious how people are getting bent out of shape because of his antics i covered why in my earlier post but seriously guys, get over it and look forward to the great hw matchups on the horizon (if only to root against him as i'm sure too many of you purists will do).

Fighters will always disrespect each other before a fight thats how it is but no matter what **** is said you man up shake the other dudes hand and say well done for having the guts to step into the octagon.

I couldn't give a monkeys what is said before a fight but his actions after the fight towards Mir were disgraceful and shouldn't be in the sport. In regards to his interview after the fight well thats just him making hype the WWE way the only way he knows.

But for my own thoughts of course he dominates his opponents he is a NCAA champ in wrestling and at least 40 pounds heavier than all his opponents find that matchup anywhere else and see who you favour?

lost more respect for that crowd last night, gsp was getting cheered for every take down while the fans chant stand them up while brock is turning mir's face into hamburg, i'd a flipped the bird to those ass hats too, the only thing that was bad was the coors light comment, just no need. and i love how it's disrespectful to talk smack after you beat somebody even when the guy that you beat was running is mouth like a pompous jerk leading up to the fight.

Everyone should know that Mir would have done the same if he won, the guy said lesnar hit him like a girl the last fight...... does he still think he hits like a girls? i doubt it!

On the trash talking front...... I dont really care for it, but didnt ali talk alot of trash? also mayweather. cant really blame the guy for self promoting. wasnt he pretty respectful in the coture fight?

Good overall night of fighting, bisping finally got KO'd (little too hard) and GSP is making me wonder if he will ever lose. I think i would pick him against the spider?!?!?

I can think of 3 men right off hand that would take lesnars belt and only 1 is in UFC. I think Shane Carwin will beat velasuez and then KO lesnar. But i also think the obvious Fedor and also Bobby Lashley. I pray one of the 3 fights lesnar and shuts him up

I never knew who Brock Lesnar was until he got into MMA so I had no pre-MMA opinions of him. As for him being a professional wrestler prior to MMA, I don't care. He is winning fights so I give him kudos for that. Do I think Mir deserved everything he got in that fight and after. Of course. Do I think Brock could have had the same effect using a different method after the fight, yes of course.

Do I have any more or less respect for Brock after this fight? No. There are a lot of fighters that I think are just as bad or worse than Brock. Running your mouth before or right after the fight is no different in my eyes. Had Mir been a gentleman prior to the fight I don't think Brock would have acted this way and if he did, I would think differently of the situation.

I will be honest, I don't like Mir and never did. It plays a small part in my giving Brock a bit of slack regarding the situation. However, I sit back and think, would I have responded differently if Lesnar was another fighter? No. Would I have responded differently if Mir was a fighter that I liked? Of course, however, that I think that would obviously have more to do with (me) being a sore loser more than what Brock did. Brock would have been the salt in the wounds.

I think (hope) Brock will learn from this lesson and become a better fighter and person from it. If not, well, every hero needs a villain.

BTW, I thought the Coors light comment was funny, though probably a poor decision.

Machida was a totally differant situation to Brock. You cant even really compare the two. Machida was totally deserving of his title shot, and is one of the most respectfull guys out their. Brock is a polar oppisite.

I really kind of understand where he's coming from, from the crowd to the cocky hype Mir put out I can see how he might get a little out of line. There are a good number of fighters in the UFC I think have bad personality's and Brock is not even in the top 5 IMO.
