leben and the bisping are not headliner material

i know its in england.... and a fight alot of people (including me) have wanted to see, but this bout isnt a main event for me.
i think this is another example of the TUF show screwing stuff up........ in july the lhw title is up, aug the welterweight, and with silva fighting next month,who knows if he can defend MW anytime soon afterwards...... the only champs who could defend their titles at 89 are bj and nog......bj's next fight's weightclass is uncertain, so big nog should be up... He won the belt early february, but the show is holding him up till december. I like TUF but when PPV's suffer because of it, im not down

i completelyagree with you about champs on TUF but i dont think this is the main event i think this will be the co main event and i think the spider will fight okami at 89, providing he doesnt suffer to much damage from the hands of irvin

i hope you are right, but mmajunkie said headline.....i guess they will wait until after july 19th

Against anyone else I agree.But against eachother I think it's a pretty interesting fight to watch.

ye excatly we just have to wait to see how bad irvin messes up the spider

I have watched it less and less each season and this season i only saw the first episode. Its been completely messing with the belts and is no longer even that entertaining. I think this fight could be a Fight of the Year type war. The two names aren't really big names but their styles match up perfectly. Lebens chin is incredible, and Bisping has looked really good at 185, this could be a stand up war.

Zuffa should have Shogun and Machida, or Wand vs Machida being the main event for that card!!! most likely wand because he is much more renown than shogun with the UFC fans...

I don't think that the UFC will make this the main event. They will come up with something that will make the fans happy. I don't know if we will see Machida, because he might be next in line for a title shot. Wand I don't think will fight until December. Could be Shogun vs ???. I don't know if Shogun headlining a PPV makes sense. The casual fan does not know him quite yet, and has lost his only fight in the UFC.

I doubt Leben vs Bisping will actually be the headliner. Its just speculation at this point is it not? Even Dana must know if thats the headline the ppv sales are going to suck.

If they throw Leben vs. Bisping I would accept it as a headliner on Spike but for a PPV they need a co-main maybe an Alves vs. Swick, too give us potentially 2 stand up wars. If swick doesn't use his new Kos offense again.

Bisping is getting a little spoiled with all the hometown fights he gets....
I thought the Franklin fight in Ohio was a bit much, but this is getting a little excessive.

I come from the UK and I couldn't agree more that this fight is not a headliner.
To me, I feel we don't get the greatest events across the pond - I don't really know the reason why - is it fighters don't wanna travel and get jet lagged?

I see this match being co-main event but of course it will be on the TV/PPV portion, almost certainly near the top since Bisping right now really is the UFC over in England. I don't see this going the distance, someone is likely going to get KO'd.

I agree 100% Bisping/Leben will be great but headline? Definitely not. This would be a good second or third fight on a card. But I think the reason for this is because if Bisping wins he gets a shot. I mean 3-0 in middleweight and some 18-1 overall is a great record and especially if he puts on a good show against Leben.
If Bisping wins he'll get the shot after Cote/Almeida winner.

Well as others have said, the headline is suposed to be Silva vs Okami, but they can't announce it until after his fight on the 19th because it all depends on what shape he's in after.
And i couldn't be more excited to see Bisping/ Leben and I sincerely hope leben knocks him out. I'm a fan of bisping but it just seems he's a bit over rated right now. Lebens got a great chin and alot of power.
