KURT PELLEGRINO SCORES A UFC TRIFECTA

Over a brief period of time it looked like UFC lightweight Kurt Pellegrino may be on his way down the 155-pound ladder, or worse yet, out of the company.
Losses in two out of three fights, to Joe Stevenson and Nate Diaz, had Pellegrino reeling, looking for a way to rebound and get his career back on track.
Enter fellow UFC lightweight contender Kenny Florian.
After moving back to his native New Jersey and making a decision to join Florian’s camp in Boston, Pellegrino has flourished, winning three straight fights, including this past Saturday’s win at UFC 101 over Josh Neer.

I'm a HUGE Pellegrino fan, and didn't really like the fact that he was going into such a close fight. I picked him UD via superior wrestling and I am just glad he was able to execute his game plan. Pellegrino seems very humble and I especially like his line of:
“I never dreamed of being a UFC champion, I’ve only dreamed about fighting in the UFC and proving to myself and everyone that I could be there."
Pellegrino is tough as nails and the switch of camps has helped him immensely. I love when fighters could care less about a title shot and just want to go out there and do what they do, fight. WAR KURT PELLEGRINO!

Kurt did not impress me against Neer. I have no desire to see him fight again.

i am in the opposite corner on this one. i was extremely impressed with Kurt and i can't wait to see him back in the octagon.

Fair enough. What part of his lay n' pray victory did you like? The laying or the praying?

i enjoyed the laying part, nothing gets me more hot then watching two athletic guys rolling around

haha i actually did like the fight though. i liked the constant battle with the guard the two fighters had and also Kurt was able to do a lot more damage than people remember. look at Neer's face after the third round and you'll see what i mean.
