Josh Neer Sentenced For Drunk Driving Charges, UFC 101 Fight Still On

After pleading guilty to two charges stemming from a New Year's Day drunk-driving arrest, Josh Neer has been sentenced to 7 years in prison but the entire sentence is suspended. He is also on probation and will avoid prison time if he fulfills those terms and was given clearance to travel for his job, meaning his UFC 101 fight with Kurt Pellegrino is still on.

He got two years for one crime and five for another, didn't look consecutive to me so seven years is not accurate.

Had he been a normal Joe he would have received a twenty year sentence in most states.

I wouldnt say hes rich. He only makes like 9k to fight and another 9k to win. Mix that in with 3 fights this year and only 2 of them wins. I say hes doing average.

However it was horribly stupid for him to drive drunk, especially on new years eve. Cops are all over des moines crazy on new years eve.

Speaking of fights that will steal the show... I'm heading to 101 live and am looking forward to this fight as much as any..
