Two of the top flyweights in the world will finally meet at UFC 156 as Joseph Benavidez squares off against Ian McCall on Super Bowl weekend 2013.
Sources close to the fight confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that verbal agreements are in place for the Feb 2 showdown.
Benavidez and McCall have been long attached to one another even before either of them were fighting at 125lbs in the UFC.

at first i wasn't sold on the flyweight guys, but the more i see the fights the bigger fan i have become. They are seriously like energizer bunnies.

How can this fight be on the prelims?
They need to keep promoting
the smaller guys
to build the division and contenders
and these are 2 of the best FLY
And this fight will be awesome

I'm still not crazy about flyweight fights. Knockouts really do seem to be rare and they all seem to have trouble holding each other down.
This could be a good one though.

I was thinking the same thing. I originally thought it would be Benavidez vs McCall for the belt. Now we get to see what would have happened.
