Jose Aldo Headlines UFC 149 in Calgary, Dana White Promises ‘Sick’ Card

UFC president Dana White announced that featherweight champion Jose Aldo will headline UFC 149 in Calgary on July 21.
“The headliner here will be Jose Aldo. He’ll be defending his title here,” said White during a press conference in Calgary on Wednesday.
One side of the UFC 149 main event is in place, but Aldo’s opponent will be named at a later date.
“We don’t know that. This card is still so far away, we’re working on it,” answered White when asked who Aldo will face.

Dana: This is a sick fuckin card bro, you'd have to be a fucking idiot not to buy this shit.. AND you're not our fucking fans unless you buy the fucking PPV for 60 US muthafuckin dollars or subscribe to cable.. This is borderline fighter bashing, cooler. Dana white is a fighter (or self proclaimed tough guy). The reason he is president of the ufc is because he fought and killed the last president of the ufc where the card headline was: you keep what you kill. Unless im thinking of chronicles of riddik...

I think they are secretly hoping that the Zombie wins against Porier in a way they can justify him getting the shot.
It would be a lot more marketable than a Hioki match, and the likely brutal KO result would be another highlight to sell Aldo with.

I think you're right. The Korean Zombie fight could be huge for the Featherweight division. Poirier is likely going to stop his streak but damn I want to see that fight.
