The official medical suspensions are out for UFC 135 and in a bit of a surprising moment, Jon Jones has picked up one of the longest medical suspensions of any fighter on the card. Jones has been suspended for six months unless cleared by a doctor, in which case the suspension can be reduced to 45 days. There were no details on the exact injuries tied to the suspensions, but one would have to assume this is related to Jones' limp after his fight with Quinton Jackson and then basically being carried to the press conference.

I bet this was a result of the one kick that Rampage checked.

Maybe the guy has a weakness after all. It will be interesting to see what happens if he faces someone who can avoid his takedowns and land a lot of leg kicks, maybe someone like Machida?

Yes of course....I have been calling for this fight since Bones destroyed Rua. Stylistically, the only one who I think poses a threat to Bones at this point is Machida.

Machida fights from the outside and has some of the best take down defenses in all of mma. I think he may shock the world.

Bones, IMO, is not that good of a fighter. What has been carrying him this far are his wrestling and his reach.

Let the flames begin.

I actually feel bad for Rashad. Talk about bad luck with getting his title shot. Hoepfully its not serious.

On the other side, this will be a test for Jones. All fighters and professional athletes suffer injuries. Part of what separates the true greats is longevity, the ability to not get hurt, or if they do, to recover from injuriesand continue to dominate. Injuries have ruined the carreers of many athletes in and out of MMA.

It's official....He can be stopped. But,they can.......Rebuild him.

Well if Rampage really wanted to press the issue he could talk a lot of smack about how afterwards it didn't even look like he had been in a fight and they had to carry Jones..........If he wanted.

....Or this is just another ploy to keep Rashad away from the title shot?

I guess the momentum his length can generate on his kicks backfires on his skinny legs.

with such a long layoff from the rashad/bones fight, this means if they really did give hendo/shogun winner a title shot, theyd have to wait about a year.

good news for all of us, maybe now we can get rampage vs shogun on the japan card now
