JON "BONES" JONES JOINS JACKSON

Undefeated UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones is the latest fighter to join Team Jackson's in Albuquerque, N.M., headed by highly sought after trainer Greg Jackson.

Jackson told MMAWeekly.com content partner Tapout Radio, "Jon Jones has joined our team and he's out here training. He's just a pleasure to work with. He's incredibly creative. That he's got so far with his creativity is amazing.”

Alliteration aside, I can only imagine the possibilities here.

wow i already predicted him to be champ within 2 years. this might make that happen sooner than later..

Excited, but at the same time disappointed..This means we are missing out fights with Jones vs. Jardine or Rashad..still a great decision for Jones to hone his game. Within two years, if he gets steady competition and no injuries, I am sensing he will have the belt.

I agree, its kind of bittersweet that he'll probably grow leaps and bounds under Yoda Jackson, but he'll still probably not want to fight two guys who will probably still be floating around in the top ten LHW.

Great move for any fighter. This will seriously accelerate Jon's game.

not only Jon's but the entire Jackson camp, i would love to see him and GSP Wrestle.

Making the move proves that he wants to be the best. It can only mean good things.

Hopefully they expand on his creativity in the Octagon. I've seen a lot of guys go to camps where they lock down their style into a more disciplined one. Depending on the guy this could be good or bad. Based on Jon Jones' natural strength, athleticism, and long body I think he'll continue to do well with an unorthodox style. Jackson's is probably perfect considering the way Jardine still looks after all these years

And exactly who's style does match with Machida? He has beaten up on a lot of "fighting styles".

Man, Jackson's camp is just scooping up so many good fighters! This camp is awesome!
But I do agree that it will be a shame if th fans miss fights because 'Bones" in in the same camp as other top 205ers......

Dana should tell Jones thats he still has to fight against his team members jardine and evans if asked, so dont get too friendly

I think that Greg will really tighten "bones" game.He is allready an awesome fighter with great judo and creativity.What he will learn with Greg,and what rubs off on greg's other fighters will REALLY be a win win situation.I think he joinded a great team,with the best mma coach around.Really look forward to watching "bones" fight,especially with his new team behind him.Great addition to an allready very good team!!!

this is a great call by jones and jackson. i think it'll be a great fit.
also, i don't think it'll be a problem not fighting jardine or evans. there are plenty of other top LHWs for him to take on during his rise. Most of us like jones as a contender in the near future, and this move can only help that.
