Damn, Stevenson hit a spladal. Thats my move. Nobody in MMA does spladals...its normally because it doesn't leave any hands to punch.
However, I found a way to adapt it. Most people in wrestling do spladals by clasping their hands and pulling the leg from underneath their opponents (ala Joe Stevenson), I do it by clasping my hands and pulling over my opponents, this way you can let go of one hand to punch and still be able to hold with the other,
The move doesn't work as well in wrestling, but i still do it when i can't reach underneath, in MMA its a showstopper...I should e-mail Stevenson...scratch that I'll keep that secret to myself.
BTW-if the spladal was perfect you could eventually tap a guy by potentially breaking their back.
