Video

Jens talks about his move to Team Curran as well as what he thinks his future in the sport might be and when he'd consider hanging up the gloves.

The video is really old but I never saw anything on here about this and I know everyone loves their Jens Pulver news. Plus today happened to be the first day I got to train with Jens.

He needs to retire and stay retired. No shame in hanging up the gloves.

Like he says in the video, he's been fighting for a long time without a strong camp and coach. If he gets the right people around him and gets disciplined he can still be a elite fighter. He's also been working hard on his jiu jitsu, again, like he talks about in the video.

I just don't want to see him take anymore damage.

When Mike Tyson suffered his last loss in boxing, he said (and I paraphrase but this is essentially a quote), that he would no longer disgrace his sport by losing to the caliber of opponent he lost to.

Mike Tyson retired.

Jens is THE MAN, everyone loves him. Just like Chuck Liddell is THE MAN, and everyone loves him. But when you go on losing streaks like theirs and get knocked out savagely so often ( Liddell ).... no one wants to see that. No one will think less of them for retiring at that point. You can't undo what Lil' Evil accomplished.

Even if he hasn't won in 3 years, losing six in a row.

Even if he has gone 1-8 in his last 9

He and Frankie Edgar are the only fighters to beat BJ Penn at 155 pounds.

He was the first UFC Lightweight champion.

He IS..... still the man

There's shame in not being able to pay your bills.
