Jason Guida, who was shown last night on Spike TV and the UFC’s hit reality television series “The Ultimate Fighter” as being dismissed from the competition after failing to make weight, has signed with EliteXC.

I dont know all the details of what is going on with the TUF 8 crew and I didnt catch the first episode but didnt Joe Duarte sign with another org as well? I knew a guy (Tom Matijacic) who tried out for the show and must have got cut, but I looked his name up on a few websites and his name is listed on a few and not on the others. Maybe there will be spots to fill?

Couldn't agree with you any more. I feel bad for the guy, and i know this must be pretty emberessing for Clay as well, to have this happen to his brother.
Well lets just hope Jason works his butt off before weigh in.

That was pretty disapointing....The guy looked like a character probably would have been entertaining to watch all season if he made it to the house....

I'm pretty sure they had to wait until he was officially off the show before announcing it, otherwise it might have been a confidentiality issue regarding TUF and Guida.
EXC should just hope he can make weight for his fights. I really don't understand these guys not being able to make weight for the show. To me that shows they are not really training on a regular basis.

I don't understand why a fighter would show up to TUF facilities at their walk-around weight. Why would you want to come right in and cut weight, anyways?

Amazingly, he has fought some well known fighters. He is someone that could have benefitted from TUF, but he blew his chances on that.

Guida fought last night at "A night of combat II" and got destroyed and then by all accounts went batshit crazy.
