What happened to him and is he gonna get another chance in the UFC? Just wondered if he is back to king of the cage or not. I hope not I like to see fighters from michigan represent.

a loss to alessio sakara does not help his chances of another fight thats for sure.

True, but if you re watch the fight you can clearly see James Lee's back go out during one of his take down attempts.

I would love to see Lee back in the Octagon, i think he deserves at least one more

I think he would of beaten sakara if he hadnt put his back out, he caught a pretty bad break with that whole thing. I dont see why the ufc would give him that fight then not give him another chance becouse it changed nothing, it was just like what happened to manny when he got beat by nate diaz.

the only problem is that the UFC has stated that they have too many fighters under contract, and they have been cutting quite a few guys lately (Ex. Jake O'brien)....so the UFC might be lookin to cut some guys, and james isnt of any importance to the UFC, so he might be one of the guys that gets cut loose. That or he is just taking some time off to heal up

so they cut jake obrien but keep charles mccarthy?? alrighty then.
i think these guys should have at least 2 matches to prove themselves, i see him fighting again in the next england show after the one in june, also i see paul kelly as well fighting

i aggre with all your comment but another guy who have disapered is phillip miller he got 2 win in the ufc and he dont fight since 2003 do someone know where he is

they are basically putting mccarthy in there as a sacrificial lamb, which in turn can backfire on them, but chances of that are small, after this fight (assuming mccarthy looses) im pretty sure he will be out of the UFC. however i do agree that he should get a another chance to prove himself, it would be that fair thing to do, but as we know Fair means nothing in business.

bad things happen when you blow out your back going for a takedown, he would have taken alessio down easily and submitted him if the injury had not happened, James Lee is (25-4) the guy has serious skills, my guess is he is still recovering and will get another shot against a david heath or eric schafer

That is true. I talked to James actually He just opened a new Gym here in Detroit and closing the one next to Trumps. His back is pretty F'd up and wont be fighting PERIOD for a while. I'd say at least 8 months to a year, but that is just me guessing.

send a link of the professional fights he fought and against who. ufc .com doesnt cut it. unless you do so , i will not respond to your ignorance again. fyi sherdog is a much more reliable source then ufc.com.

Indeed. I notice that ufc.com don't update the fighter's records until just before they fight again (if they fight again at all).
Back to the topic, if they can give Jason Tan a second chance, I don't see why Lee shouldn't be given one as well.

Yeah I was rooting for him, he's practically local for me. I think he will get another shot, I would give him another shot, he did hurt himself in that fight so in all fairness, one more.
