A friend of mine who is a sophmore, deadlifted 500lbs. today without a suit! He's about 5"10 and 190 lbs. Keep in mind that he's a sophmore, he benched 320 lbs. without a vest and squated 460 lbs. without a suit!

Do you guys think that this is impressive for a kid that is only 15 yrs old or what?

I can't even imagine what his numbers will be when he's a senior.

When I was trying to get into pro-wrestling I got pretty jacked up in high school. I was 15 when this picture was taken, and I could bench press between 240-270lbs. As for suits and vests, I really don't see the point in them, so I'm glad your friend doesn't use them. Does he take suppliments at all?

The only thing he takes is protein, nothing else.

Great! I'm all for the natural way of doing things. Some of the strongmen of the 1880's-1920's would rip the current strongmen in half, so theres something to be said for the natural approach.

Georg Hackenschmidt could have given Fedor a run for his money.

I was playing Walk Among Us at work tonight. Good stuff! I actually got to see Danzig play with Doyle at the New England Hardcore and Heavy Metal fest a year or so ago.

damnn 550 is impressive.

And Danzig is sickkkkkk.

but j/w, what advantages does lifting with a 'suit' give you? never seen anyone use one before.

They make special kinds of suits, vests, shirts, etc for lifting that absorb a lot of the kinetic energy and help you redirect it. They're made out of some kind of weird canvas/spandex stuff, and apparently they can add huge numbers onto your lifting, although if you can't lift the same without the shirts, I don't see the point of using them.
