So on Monday and Tuesday my 3 and 4 year old nieces were over and at some point both days they wanted to watch tv and I put on NickJr and I wanted to break my tv after watching Max and Ruby. Max is the biggest bastard of a bunny I've ever seen. He says one word over and over, and everything he does is something to cause trouble. And where in the hell are their parents??? Ruby seems to take care of him, but she's playing dress-up and with dolls, so she clearly isn't an adult. I loathe this show, and I would love to have 5 minutes with that a-hole Max to slap him around.

I kind of liked Wonder Pets though(couldn't get the damn phone is ringing song outta my head), and I think Yo Gabba Gabba is alright namely because I can't dislike anything Biz Markie does.

This.

Cartoons started sucking hard in the early 90's.

Looney Tunes & South Park are by far the best.

I still like Family Guy, but not near as much as i used to. Over the last 2 years, I've found American Dad to be way more humorous than FamGuy, but maybe that's just me.

Out of those mentioned, only Looney Tunes should be considered a kids' show.

They passed a law sometime I think in 94/95 that really limited what a kids cartoon could have in it.
Look up the tales from the crypt cartoon wiki and they touch on it their a little. Their is a more adult market for some cartoons but it's just about always anime.....

Cartoons that cannot be rivaled by the cartoons today.

1.Thundercats. A children epic
2.Silverhawks. A childrens space opera.
3.Transformers. Need I say more?
4.GI Joe. I proudly played with mine.
5.King Arthur and the knights of justice.Epic
6.Conan the adventurer. Go youtube the opening for this right now if you never had the pleasure. It instantly grew hair on my chest.
7.Bots master. "I fight the corp i'm the botsmaster" You couldn't get away with telling kids to fight the corp in a cartoon today!
8. X Men. Totally bad azzz
9.mighty Max. It's freakin Might Max. People actually died in it!
10.He Man. He man!!!!!!!!!!
11.Dino Riders. Wars on dinosaurs. Brilliant.

I don't know, maybe it can be done but can anyone list 11 cartoons from the past 10 years that are nearly as good as thoughs without naming remake cartoons?

Out of the 10 you listed, these are the only ones that I watched. I would include:

Smurfs
Duck Tales
Dennis the Menace
Popeye
Scooby Doo
Inspector Gadget
Heathcliff
C.O.P.S

I was about to add Duck Tales as well. Gummy Bears was great IMO too.

Edit: also rather enjoyed The Real Ghostbusters (although not as much as the movie franchise) and A Pup Named Scooby Doo

There had to have been crack or meth in that juice they drank. And there was always that pissed off bear that was the handy man. That show was awesome.

Centurions and Ronin Warriors ftw.

But to the original point, kids shows are awful. Like Lazytown and the Wiggles.

Almost forgot...Hulk Hogans' Rock 'n' Wrestling was pretty sweet. Although not a cartoon, I'm not afraid to say that Punky Brewster was the sh*t.

The cartoons nowadays teach kids how to be pranksters while the cartoons I grew up with in the 80's actually taught life long lessons.

As token of my appreciation for this thread, I present the following.

Watch Boy Meets World again. It is a pretty god awful show. Yes back then it was amazing but ummm not so much anymore.

I did enjoy Muppet Babies. Not sure exactly what time category they fall into. The 80's had some classic cartoons and shows. The early 90's weren't too bad either though.

Darkwing Duck
Rescue Rangers
Tailspin
ExoSquad
Double Dare
Bozo The Clown
Pee Wee's Playhouse

Are just some others I wanted to add.

Only a few good shows in the 90s
Full House
Saved by the Bell
Family Matters
Boy Meets World

The Cartoons were terrible.
Simpsons have always been around.

But shows like Barney and stuff like that ruined it for the 90s.

Dragonball Z! Enough said...

I also enjoyed the original power rangers, as opposed to the crappy dino and whatever series they are currently on. I intend to own the entire original series so I can show it to my future kids one day. Also loved Beatleborgs. Swat Kats was amazing too. Damn Ted Turner cancelling swat kats for shows that were less violent like "Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny". Sometimes I wonder whether or not he listens to himself when he speaks.
Loved Thundercats, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Pirates of Dark Water, the old Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons, the Mega Man cartoon series. I could go on and on... I watched way too many cartoons as a kid. Actually I still watch too many cartoons today.

Can't believe I almost forgot the Spider-Man cartoon and X-Men. Also Batman. There will never be another Joker portrayed as well as the one voiced by Mark Hammill.
