The announcers made it even better.

But if that wall is like the height of MLB parks then we prolly dont see that catch.

There is no set height for MLB ballparks. You can adjust the height of the walls depending on how far back you want to push the distance from home plate. I'm no expert, but just looking at the trajectory and how long it took that ball to travel, I am guessing that he hit that to straight-away left-center and it looks to be close to around 415. That wall seems to be the appropriate height. That was just an amazing catch.

I think it just might be me, but for some reason it looks small.

I checked the numbers on the field for you.

Mazda Zoom Zoom field

left - 101 m (331.4 ft)
center - 122 m (400.3 ft)
right - 100 m (328.1 ft)

Compare that to Petco Park in San Diego which is considered one of the best pitchers parks.

Left field Line – 334 feet (102 m)
Left field – 367 feet (112 m)
Left field alley – 402 feet (123 m)
Center field – 396 feet (121 m)
Right field alley – 402 feet (123 m)
Right field – 382 feet (116 m)
Right field line – 322 feet (98 m)

Amazing catch! I'm hearing people say Best Catch Ever, and it may be, but I prefer a good ole Jim Edmonds dive over any catch ever.

brother, any wall that's attached to the 400 section of a park is going to be easy to scale. It's about the furthest distance you can have from home plate so the wall has to be the shortest.

Also, if you notice, there's more to the wall than just the part he climbs. There's about another foot or so of fence.

jimmy baseball has made some amazing catches, and hes been one of my favorite players for years(even when he was on the bad guys), but most of his diving catches are routine plays for most centerfielders, hes just slower than the prototype out there so he had to work harder to get to the gaps. still though, hes been as fun to watch as just about anyone out there in CF over the past couple decades.
