I went to the casino for my first poker tournament. 358 people. First Hand. I'm dealt As Ks. Flop is 10h Ah Kd. I have top two pair. I bet big. I'm raised all-in. I call. He has Qd 10d. Turn is Ad. I have Full House. He has flush draw. River is Jd. No F***in way. My first hand, of my first tournament, I lose to a Royal Flush. True Story.

Post Your Bad Beats.

You can call yourself lucky to be on a table where a RF is drawn.

I had very mixed emotions. It was incredible and very disappointing at the same time. My next tournament (on Wednesday), I hope to stay in more than 1 hand.

I put a terrible beat on my buddy in a cash game a couple of years ago. It was a "one-carder" so I guess you can say it was the worst beat you can possibly have.

I had pocket 10's with the ten of hearts. Me and my buddy were the only two in the hand. Flop is ace hearts, ace clubs, king of hearts. We both check.

Turn card is Jack of hearts. My buddy bets the pot. I call

River card is Queen of hearts. Other guy bets huge and I've got the royal flush! I raise all in, he calls really quick. He had pocket aces and hit four of a kind of the flop.

People around our game still talk about that hand to this day. To bad we weren't at a casino with a bad beat pot.

this was a $200 + $15 $200,000 guaranteed tourney i played at Pacific poker about a year ago....

I won that $215 seat in a $1 SnG to a $7 Satillite...and the top 10 players in that tourney were rewarded the seat....

ok...so I made the final table of the main event(final 9 out of about 750 players)........and i was like 6th or 7th ranked chip wise........so i get AK off..and i didnt wanna take any chances so i just went all in and i get called by someone with just a small amount of more chips than me with AJ off.....the flop came Q Q 10.....Turn was a blank...lets just say an 8......and the River came a K making him the straight.....

so i went out 9th and won $3000...but what really pissed me off was that 1st place was $44,000 and on top of that i lost to a guy that had been getting lucky the whole tourney.......you know..one of those that make strange all in calls for almost all their chips with Q 10 and K J kind of hands and get lucky and win.....that beat hurt for weeks...till i was holding $3,000 in cash of course
