Herb Dean draws reffing assignment for Dos Santos-Velasquez UFC 155 main event

The Nevada State Athletic Commission at its Thursday meeting handed out referee and judging assignments for next week's UFC 155 main event.
Veteran referee Herb Dean has been assigned to officiate the UFC heavyweight title fight between champion Junior Dos Santos (15-1 MMA, 9-0 UFC) and former champ and top contender Cain Velasquez (10-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC). Glenn Trowbridge, Tony Weeks and Marcos Rosales have been tapped as the three judges for the bout.

Thank god it's not Miragliotta. And they decided not to pick Adelaide Byrd or Cecil Peoples to judge

I don't think we'll be needing judges for the main event

i could actually see this fight going the distance. i think cain will avoid standing to much with JDS and i dont see cain getting a submission or getting submitted on the ground. i;m going with JDS by UD.

Mirgliotta has been reffing better than Herb or anyone these last few years. Kongo would have lost against Pat Berry had Herb been reffing.
I love how Mirgliotta always let's the fighter get in at least one extra shot for good measure. Definitely a fan favorite ref.
