Dan Henderson remains an unsigned commodity, the fighter’s business partner and manager, Aaron Crecy, told Sherdog.com late Thursday, responding to a new report that states the top-five middleweight has signed with Strikeforce.

“Dan hasn’t signed anywhere,” said Crecy.

Crecy has stepped forward twice in the last three weeks to counter claims that his client had signed with the UFC’s biggest U.S. competitor. In mid-October, the middleweight and his managerial team also squashed reports that Henderson was close to signing a deal with Strikeforce.

Henderson and the UFC have been stuck on the monetary terms of a new five-fight agreement since late July. In that time, UFC President Dana White has described the renegotiations as anywhere from “stalemated” to “done.”

However, Sherdog.com has direct knowledge from multiple parties involved that talks between both sides have continued the entire time and even into this week.

On Wednesday, White again commented publicly about Henderson.

“I guarantee you 1,000 percent that Dan Henderson is signed by Strikeforce,” White told Yahoo Sports.

Crecy said the statement is 100 percent false.

“Anyone that would report that is misinformed,” he said.

Dana talking too soon about this. However he probaly will sign with them.

In one of Dana's video blogs he said when he went out for dinner, He seen Hendo's manager and a Strikeforce boss having dinner.

I would think what he does too.

But it CANT be about money because I doubt they could outbid UFC, Unless Dan is looking for 1 big payday and hanging up??

either dana is gonna push him away to strikeforce or push him to sign with ufc
i heard hendo wants 500k a fight he should only get 150 to 200 k at the most
his pay per views as a main event liner don't bring in that many buys

I hate all the back and forth. I don't want Dan, or Dana, or any one else to keep making statements until its something concrete.

Wishful thinking i guess....

I think he should be paid around 250k to show the dude is top 10 in 2 weight classes hell he could be argued top 5 I don't remember a boring fight sense he has been in the UFC I pertty sure he said on insideMMA he said he wouldn't sign anywhere but the UFC and IMO Hendo would walk through Mousasi

He deserves 500k a fight, being one of the top fighters of all time so far in this young sport
but since he isnt the biggest draw 150k to show and 150k to win with a clause that if he wins the belt it jumps to 200k to show 200k to win that sound reasonable to me for hendo

But i dont know sh*t

I want Hendo to stay in the UFC but with recent signings to strikeforce i wouldn't be that disappointed if he went to SF

Hendo fights in SF
185
Jacare
Lawal
Lawler
Shields
Mayhem
205
Mousasi
Sobral

there are some interesting fights in SF when you really look at it (I know none of these can compare to Hendo vs -belfort 2 -Asilva 2 -Marquardt - Wandy 3 -or any ufc 205 contender but the move to strikeforce wont be the end of the world)

i see what youre saying, but hes only had 1 fight since being a coach on TUF, which made him far more popular, and that was at ufc 100 which had a ton of buys. not to mention KOing bisping after the way bisping came off on the show only helps dans marketability. i think dan is right for wanting to cash in on the heels of that, the iron is hot.

Mayhem is not fighting Hendo.
they train together or better yet Hendo trains him.

The thing I don't get is that Hendo prefers to fight at 205. With Strikeforce he's got 1 or 2 fights there. He stays at 185 in the UFC because he wants another crack at Silva. What's his motivation with Strikeforce?
