I know most people forget about the hammerhouse but I love the hamme rhouse fighters....even thought they all thought like they could test positive for steriods I still love Randleman, Coleman, and Baroni...
The HH use to be on top in the early UFC days when Mark Coleman was the very first UFC Heavyweight champion and won 2 UFC tornaments....Kevin Randlemans a former UFC Heavyweight champion and had a very bright future when he won it and against Chuck Liddel was suppose to be his coming out party but got KO'd the **** out...
They all have good hands with fgreat power with great wrestling skills but they always get caught in Submissions in big fights....
will they ever be as good as they once were?
Coleman's thinking about going back to the UFC and taking on Randy Coulture since they have a simlar style which would be a great fight...
Randleman tested positve for steriods months ago but may come back to the UFC's LHW divison....
I seriously think if they worked on there submission defense and offense they would be a great team...
thoguhts?

I really would like to see Hammerhouse get back on top, but I'm not sure it's going to happen.
I live in Columbus so I support HH to the fulliest, but I think there better days are behind them. I like seeing Coleman and Wes Simmswalking around the events in town here. Most people dish out onloy hate towards HH but I'm on your side NatedawgThaM.

no, he is still pretty much just a wresteler, in the ufc he would have to beat the likes of noguiera, mirko, guys that would just overpower him..........the new guys like GG that are good on the ground and standing up, i dont even think he could take 205 pound guys..........maybe he could go to some other org that has no real competiton like king of the cage or cage rage, and thats a maybe still...........
i think what he should do is fight guys like don frye or ken shmarock, or tank abott, cabbage or sumone like that lol....some fight that would create interest but not be against real competitive guys in their prime
Shit Hammer House never was on top. Yeah sure Coleman an Randleman have been champs, where does that leave all the other Hammer House guys? Baroni has had some decnt wins but those have been overshadowed by his humiliating defeats (Pete Sell for example). Wes Sims is total crap and Brandon Lee Hinkle is B level at best. To be a top team you have to be constantly producing dominant fighters and be reveered by all other people in the game. Miletich, Chute Boxe, BTT, ATT, Team Quest, even Lion's Den in it's day. These are all teams that have been recognized as the best. Hammer House has never fit in this category.

Hammerhouse is quite possibly the worst camp for mma... it is COMPLETELY one dimensional with one dimensional fighters. Coleman wont ever be champ again. Randleman had the abiltiy but needed some good submission defense, which hammerhouse is horrible at, and baroni is a good powerful striker that gasses after the first and has really no ground game.
But sure they could make it to the top again if Chutebox and MFS,etc all went out of business.....

That's a very harsh assessment, but unfortunately an accurate one. I always thought a guy like Randleman had the physical talent, the physical appearance and the interview skills to be a HUGE star in the sport. It's disappointing to see so little development in his game as well as those of his team members. I don't root for those guys anymore b/c it makes MMA look bad to have guys who don't cross-train beat guys who do because of overwhelming strength.

IMO Hammerhouse will never even produce a top 10 fighter again.. ever.
randleman is their last hope and unfortunately i dont see that as a very hopeful situation. not only that but i dont see how any of these guys could pass a single drug test and scrutiny is going to get worse and worse in that regard.
randleman has the ability to beat any opponent in the world at any time, although he is not well rounded enough to win consistently and unless he gets back to basics and trains bjj he will never be able to win consistently. these guys seem way to thick headed to ever get back to basics because despite evidence to the contrary they still seem to think they are great.
once these three are gone, the hammerhouse will be gone as well. what up and coming mma guy would choose that camp? maybe some wrestlers right out of the gate but once they progress at all they will realize how much it will hurt them to stick around.

They need to learn how to defend submissions.

Hammer House is not, won't be, and never was on top.
The most and best that can be said about them is that they helped pioneer MMA. Their major contribution was to show in the beginning that wrestling was an important component to MMA.
The least and worse that could be said is that they never even really tried to advance their skills except by sticking needles in their butts.

It's all about evolving with the sport. It's that simple.Either they change it up and incorporate more striking and submission skills to the table,or they stay were their at and eventualy become a dead cell.

I dont think Hammer house will ever be on top, I dont think they ever were on top. They are too one dimensional, new talent isnt joining them, because all the new talent wants to join teams like Chute Boxe and Militich Fighting Systems, teams that teach every aspect of the game, and teach it all well, rather than only focusing on wrestling and GnP.

Im a big fan of mark coleman and kevin randleman but i just dont see how hammerhouse could ever be good Randleman is now training with couture coleman is pretty old, Wes Sims is just c level, and isnt baroni training somewhere else now.
hammer house was never on top and i doubt they ever will be.
