That’s all it took for Roger Huerta to hand John Halverson his first UFC loss back in February of 2007, and while losing to the rising lightweight star is something that was experienced by 21 other mixed martial artists, the UFC 67 bout seemed almost too frantic, too fast to get a read on Halverson as a fighter on this level, and more than anyone, he knew it.

didnt roger hit him with an illigal strike? knee to the head if i remember right... i think that fight shoulda been a NC, but i think he shoulda at least tried to get that a NC instead of a DQ and lobby it with the UFC, bad decision by the UFC for sure, i know they want to protect investment in huerta but seriously that fight should have been a NC or even a DQ if halverson had played it right, ala the james irvin move against luis cane
