Should be an easy TKO victory for Guillard. Siver isn't really known for his submissions, yes he has some submission victories. However, I don't think he has good enough submissions to where he can finish Melvin. He has to get him to the mat and I don't see that happening. Easy win for Guillard.

Yea it probably gonna be a HL reel KO for guillard, they might be trying to rebuild him as a contender in the division.

Denis should be able to Win this Fight on the feet, he is a Championship Kickboxer with Dynamite Hands. But you never know what Melvin will throw.

Normally you and I have similar opinions. However, this time around I have to respectfully disagree with you. I think if anyone is to win on the feet it will most definitely be Melvin. Denis does have some power in his hands, yet I think Melvin has more power and he will land a crushing haymaker and finish Denis off with strikes. Granted, both have never been finished by strikes. Yet, Melvin will prevail and give Denis his first loss via TKO/KO.

I would say this fight depends on how marvin comes out if he rushes in like he usually does he might get caught Siver is a kickboxing champion and a pretty good wrestler I think if Marvin can keep concentrated and work his striking he will get a KO win.

I like Siver in this fight personally, he has good striking and decent submissions which I think he'll realize is Melvin's big weakness.

Gulliard is a whole different fighter. He's been working hard with Ricco Rodriquez with his submission defense and has been working his wrestling for sprawling. I still want to see how he does against Jean Silva in May if that fight is still happening.

But as for this fight, Melvin 1st round KO!!

him and RR working together...too easy for a cocaine joke

anyway i am torn. i am thinking of picking Siver based mostly on the fact that i disdain Guillard with a passion. i hate his character (and the fact that he has a win over Davis...which i believe Davis would destroy him now) and am probably being blinded by my abhorrence. i just don't know, i don't want to make a biased pick but a t the same time i can't help it. i am trying to look at this as objectively as possibl but it is hard. on one hand Siver is a decorated kickboxer but remember you have to brawl a boxer. i mean Davis had better pure striking back when he fought Melvin then Siver has now so i don't know. i think the most logical choice is to pick Melvin via 1st KO but then again i don't know enough about Siver to verify it.

but luckily this fight isn't happening for a while so i'll worry about it later

i've picked siver by sub, guillard has just looked at a very low level on the ground, so siver should take him down and sub him, but guillard does have heavy hands so if he catches siver, its lights out

It really depends on the game plan Siver uses because we already know Guillard can throw, I see this fight ending Rick Davis style

Although I don't care much about either fighter this should be a good stand up fight and could get Knockout of the Night honors. I'd have to say Guillard should win the fight.

will be close, I think its gonna depend on Melvins mindset and if he can stay composed..if so I give him KO rnd 1.

Melvin Guillard needs to really work on his ground game and has shown some disrespect in the past especially in his last loss to Rich Clementi when he acted immaturely and unprofessionaly.

However, I do enjoy watching him fight.. he tries to keep all his fights standing and he always tries to put on a good show, the guy is also very marketable IMO..

Looking forward to seeing him back in the octagon!

I think they are using him like a pro wrestling heel character. He makes people want to watch because they want him to lose.

This is one of the toughest calls on the card for me. To me it comes down to wrestling. I think Siver (inspite of being a kickboxing champion) is better on the ground and Guillard is better on his feet. The guy who can keep the fight where he wants it will win.

Im still not sure who is the better wrestler but i suspect its Guillard. Ive got to watch some more of Siver's fights to find out.

I'm not a big fan of Melvin so I hope he loses. I just don't like his attitude; he is extremely cocky for no reason. You have to back up the talk and Melvin has yet to do that.

I guess I'm the only one that is going for Melvin in this one... while Guillard has been unimpressive in his last two fights, I just think Stevenson and Clementi were better overall MMA fighters with more experience than him. Siver didn't show me enough in his fights against Maynard and Laudin to think very highly of him either. I'm surprised they're bringing both of them back... but more so Siver than Guillard. Guillard wins this one in highlight reel fashion.
