the fight game is pretty mental. But like I saw it said GSP was out partying. GSP is a humble guy. Mental hasnt always been on his side. First time he fought matt hughes couldnt even look at him, I think he could have one the first fight. GSP just needs to be ready for Kos explosive and GSP needs to slow him down and wear him out.

I'm sick of hearing about this mental aspect of GSP's fight game. Fact is, once he's in the ring, he's trying to KO the guy before he gets KO'd. The only reason this crap came up was because GSP made a bad decision after the Serra fight in disclosing a bunch of personal crap to the media that he didn't need to do. The fight game is mental, mental in that you have to make decisions on where to move, how to fight, and what to do. He used the mental aspect as an excuse, and now that's all that is ever said.

Ugh, it's over, he'll be fine.

While the mental aspect of a fighter is a big influence, wether people like it or not, I think GSP is young enough, and motivated enough to get past this easily...

After losing to Hughes the first time (although it wasn't a KO) he came back with a vengence... And I see this comeback as much more driven... a la CroCop after the Randleman KO

Not saying he's not mentally stable, but can't we all agree how much emotional problems in regular life can affect the MMA game? I mean just take a look at Belfort, Arlovski, and Rich Franklin.

Each for different reasons but their career took a huge impact after going through their said troubles. I know when Franklin was visiting Iraq he opened up to us all pretty big about how devastating the loss was to Silva and how it affected his mental game. Belfort went from one of the most scary aggressive fighters in his weight class to a name that used to be associated with bad ass. Arlovski I don't even need to explain- just watch how different he is in the cage now.

I personally think GSP will be fine, but all those personal problems/demons whether they're fight related or not can really affect your training regimen, your motivation, and it can take the fight right out of you. Hell, I've experienced it personally.
