Sources close to UFC fighter Matt Grice say that Grice is scheduled to face George Sotiropoulos at UFC 17 in February. Bout agreements should be finalized shortly, and this will become the 8th fight for UFN. This fight will be a prelim match.

Is George dropping to 155? I hope so.

Well the LW division just got deeper. I didn't expect George to drop to 155, but it makes a lot of sense because he was a small WW and not very lean. He's built kind of like Terry Etim and his long limbs and size should be a great asset at LW.

Grice should be a good challenge. A four time Oklahoma State wrestling champ, and Oklahoma is full of powerhouse wrestlers so that's really saying something. It goes without saying Geroge is going to spend the majority of this fight on his back, but Geroge is leaps and bounds ahead of Grice in striking and BJJ.

While Matt has great takedowns and some decent GnP he's sloppy on the ground and makes a lot of careless mistakes. In his fight with Joe Black you can see Grice likes to leave his hands on the mat, and he constantly exposes his neck (which Terry Etim took advantage of). He defends the triangle well by having strong posture, but submission defense is definetely his achiles heel right now.

I'm thinking first or second round submission by George.

I think Grice wrestles his way to a UD victory.

wow. nice prelim. match-up. props to Joe Silva on this one.

I think both of these fighters are underated, and will have pretty bright futures in MMA...but I am gonna have to go with George in this one..Grice is gonna have some ringrust, after his long layoff and schooling...but he will bounce back and get a few wins after this loss.

Well here answers someone question. The other day someone asked on the forums where is George? I said he would fight soon.

I think george wins this fight with his striking, its going to be top notch.

I gotta go with Grice on this one, I tink he's better then George(I could be wrong there), anyway I tink he'll be able to control the pace for a late TKO or (likely) a UD/MD/SD.
