Gray Maynard Opens as 3 to 1 Favorite Over Clay Guida at UFC on FX 4

Gray Maynard will look to start his path back to another shot at the UFC lightweight title in June where he faces Clay Guida at UFC on FX 4 in Atlantic City.
Coming into the fight, oddsmakers have instilled Maynard as a heavy favorite over Guida ahead of their June showdown.
According to Nick Kalikas from BetonFighting.com, Maynard comes in as a 3 to 1 favorite over Guida. Maynard currently sits as a -305 favorite while the comeback on Guida as the underdog is +235.
Both Maynard and Guida are coming off losses, albeit against the top two fighters in the division.

As long as it doesn't get any smaller I'd take Guida all day, especially being a 5 round fight...Clay is only susceptible to being submitted and Gray won't do that, plus Clay has never been KO'd, so Gray has to win a decision against a cardio freak...I think its almost guaranteed to go the distance given their history.

While I do expect Maynard to win, I think 3-1 is a bit overboard. I would have called 2-1 max, as many of Guidas strengths are also Maynards and I may even give a striking edge to Guida. Who knows, he may employ his jungle japes strategy that ruined Gomi.

The odds seem right to me. Comparing the competition each man has fought in the last few years, Maynard should UD this all day long.
