great insight by davis, he knows more than anybody else what it's like to fight both mma and boxing. he and lytle of course
I thought it was very fair of Maxboxing to allow him to say all of that (or more accurately to print it after he said it). I know there are some boxing writers who totally crap on MMA (guys like Jim Lampley and Michael Katz), but that seems to be the over-50 crowd who are shocked that their heros aren't able to win any style of fight. Young guys like Steve Kim, Doug Fisher and Max Kellerman always seem to give MMA a fair shake, saying it's a legit sport with good athletes, just not the one they prefer to watch and write about.
