Marek Lieberberg, who served as co-promoter for UFC 99 in Cologne, is looking into the possibilities of returning to Germany as early as April 2010. Nothing's set but he's suggesting a possible April event in Oberhausen, which seats 13,000 and is in a city well-positioned to draw foreign (non-Germany) fans.

They will be back. Puts it into the mind of the teens. They grow up seeing this sport, being used to it. It's good stuff.

Oberhausen and that whole area of Germany is awesome. Dortmund, Essen, and Dusseldorf not too far away. Dusseldorf has a bar district that is MASSIVE, and Dortmund has probably the hottest girls I've ever seen. If I were a UFC fighter I'd be clamoring to get on a card there. Plus, in that area of Germany, sports are huge. Especially soccer because Dortmund usually has a pretty good team.
I'd like to see them get down to Bavaria or Frankfurt for a card. Frankfurt would probably be their biggest market, but Munchen might not be too far behind.
Germany is a fricken AWESOME country
