I would have to pick silva because of the reach, but shit i could be wrong. That would be a good match.

I'd love to see this fight, it doesn't get much more even then this. Silva would have to be considered the favorite, but only by a bit. I would call GSP just because he is more well rounded, but it's so tough to call.

Silva, and I actually think he would dominate. If they fought at their current weights Silva would have a decent size advantage and a great reach advantage. I think they are pretty equal in their skill levels so i think the size difference would be the difference.

It would be a good fight and I would give it to GSP because he's mroe well rounded. It's awesome because this fight could happen if GSP actually moves up to middleweight.

i would want GSP to win... but i really dont see it. u guys say that GSP is more well-rounded but wasnt nate marquart or maybe even rich franklin more well rounded as far as the wrestling aspect and they got crushed. if serra could rock GSP and knock him down then anderson silva should have no problem doing the same thing. anderson silva has got to be the most accurate and technical striker in the ufc right now and i hate to say it but GSP's chin is in question now. when's the last time GSP fought a striker? i think it was jay heiron and hes not anywhere near the same league as silva. im afraid the reach, power, accuracy, and excellent mut-thai would be way too much for even GSP to handle right now.

He cuts very little weight to make WW, so I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Very close call. I'm not sure who to pick, although I will say that people are giving Silva too much credit for a reach advantage. He's only an inch taller than St. Pierre and a 2-3" reach advantage isn't decisive.

i dont think the reach alone makes much difference its just the fact that it is one more advantage silva has over GSP. when u put that together with silvas other advantages it adds up pretty quick like height forinstance, this is another advantage for silva cuz GSP is used to being the taller fighter in most all his fights it would be interesting to see how he adjusts. and anyone who is picking GSP for his speed over anderson silva is crazy anderson silva is just as quick if not quicker than GSP on the feet.

actually anderson silva is 6' 2" while gsp is 5'10" .....thats quite a BIG difference. not 1 inch...

Size doesn't matter at all just look at Tim Sylvia and Randy Couture it was more difference and Randy won.
