Gabriel Gonzaga’s most famous UFC moment came when his stunning high kick knocked out Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic in the first round of their bout at UFC 70.

While a lot has changed for the 30-year-old Brazilian since that April night in 2007 in Manchester, England, Gonzaga believes he’s got plenty of big moments left in him and hopes to show off the first one against Chris Tuchscherer Saturday night at UFC 102 in Portland, Ore.

I want to see Gabe do well and go on a strong run. He's one of the few heavyweights who can truly develop a well rounded game IMO. Instead of being a wrestler/brawler. I hate that Gonzaga has had so many ups and downs. He's much better than that.

Gonzaga is one of my favorite HWs. He is aggressive, exciting, solid standing and even better on the ground...always makes for a good fight....and he's just a beast, man!

It sucks though, cause he just seems to not like getting hit. We saw it in the Couture, Werdum and (kind of) Carwin fights...where he took a big shot, went down, but then just covers up....and doesn't try to advance his position or get back up.......not slandering him at all, as I would fall down and cry if I got hit by those guys....just saying that seems to be his downfall.

War Gabriel!!!!!

I think it's more to do with cardio and the mental aspect, rather than getting hit...fortunately for him, he is at the right camp right now to address both of those issues.

I think his faults are mental. He's a pretty complete physical package.

Unfortunatley for Gonzaga he wont be able to compete this weekend, as he's was just arrested for getting unruly in an Arizona mall.

I think Gonzaga's only real problem is mental. If he gets past that every HW needs to look out.
